On My Way To Get "The Mom"!

I am not quite sure when I became such a Mama's Girl but I know that I definately am. I talk to her everyday and I tell her everything that is going on in my life. So you can guess that I am extremely excited to be picking her up from the airport tonight. I sure love that woman and am so excited to see her. I will be sure to take pictures while she is here and post them so stay tuned for more to come.

I Am Spent!

So as most of you know I am in cosmetology school and am also working as a voice teacher and choir director. So I am really not sure what free time is. Do not get me wrong I am very grateful for being productive however I am feeling really old. For you see it is Friday night and instead of going out and living the single life. I am on the computer writing my blog with plans to curl up with my latest book before I go to bed by 9:30 or 10. I have definately changed. What do you guys think? Should I change my old lady ways and get myself a social life? I am anxious to hear your opinions but right now I have a date with my pajamas and my book.

Some of my work

This beautiful little girl is Morgan Kenner and she belongs to David and Gwyneth Kenner the family that I live with. She is going to be the flower girl in her cousins upcoming wedding. The wedding is going to be in Oklahoma but Gwyneth brought her in to school so that I could give her some hair ideas or should I say the stylist that they go to some ideas for her hair. For I will not be traveling to Oklahoma as Morgan's personal hair stylist even though Gwyneth has jokingly mentioned it. We had a good time and I think that her hair turned out great. Her mom had to bribe her by telling her that I would paint her nails and do her makeup which I was glad to do because I can always use the credits. This is just a small part of what I have been doing since I moved to Utah but I am hoping to get a camera soon so that I can document more of my hairstyles. So stay tuned.

Thank You Aunt Gigi and Amanda!

Here are two very prestigious awards that I have received since the angry post but I have not been smart enough to post them. But since I am now a blogging genious I have decided to post both of them and to thank my Aunt Gigi and my cousin and friend Amanda for recognizing how great I am. j/k I am grateful however that people read and enjoy my posts. I know how others have cheered me up and made me laugh when my days have been less than enjoyable so I am glad that I could do that for someone else. I would like to end by thanking my Mom, Dad, and my fans for keeping me going. Thanks for the fan mail and keep it coming. You are truly my inspirations. So stay tuned.

Time with Family

I had the opportunity to spend some time with my cousin Ali because she missed a flight home. I have to say that I am a little grateful that she did. She is staying with my sister until she catches her flight home on Monday. We of coursed laughed and played and had a good time. I also love every minute that I have to spend with my Gracie. She is growing so fast and is so beautiful. I have to go now because Ali has informed me that it is ice cream time so see ya! Enjoy the pictures. My sweet girl is beautiful. I however am not wearing any makeup so please forgive me.

Beauty School

Well not much to talk about today except for school because that is pretty much what consumes my life. I always looked at people with bad haircuts and terrible color and said who did that. I must say that I have been paid back ten fold. My first haircut I had when I got on the floor was an old ladies mullet. The funny thing is that has not been the only mullet that I have cut. I also have the opportunity to do some of the yuckiest colors that I have ever seen. I mean colors that I did not even know exhisted. Today one of our regulars came in. She is in her fifties and she has long hair that she does an all over bleach on. The only way for me to describe it is "cotton candy". The moral of my story is not to diss people and their choices it is to say good for them. They know what they like and if it makes them feel pretty then I have done my job. My only hope is that that they don't tell people who did there hair. Trust me if they ask my opinion I am happy to give it. Unfortunately most ladies who come to school kave been coming there for years and do not like change. To them I say you're welcome.

I need action!

Before all you married women try to tell me that it is not all it is cracked up to be let me just say you can keep that to yourself. I am staying strong but let me just express to you the level of frustration that I am experiencing. I am one of the only 29 year old virgins left on this planet (Mom you're welcome) and I think that I deserve some kind of medal or something. Actually I think that every person who can live this long and remain pure deserves cash. I am serious. I think that at the age of 30 if we can remain a virgin we should deserve at the very least $1,000,000. That would mean that I am approaching the million dollar mark. I think I will write my congressman right now. I amaze myself with all the great ideas I have. I am going to go now and start that letter. I will keep you posted on its progress so stay tuned.

Amanda this one is for you.

What was I doing 10 years Ago:

Well I was 19 and Elizabeth and I decided to move to Utah for the first time. We lived with Josephine and I worked at a daycare. I loved my job but I moved back to Georgia before I turned 20.

5 things on my list to do:

1.) I really would love to marry a hot guy and not to be a 29 year old virgin anymore.
2.) I want to finish School and become very successful!
3.) I want to buy myself some boobs.
4.) I want to go to New York and see some Broadway shows.
5.) I want to take over the world!

Snacks that I love but probably should not eat:

I would have to begin by saying that Little Debbie and I have been best friends since I could say her name. I also love fruit snacks, Skor bars, Chilis chips and salsa, and my new favorite are cheddar jalapeno cheetos (Delicious!)

If I were a billionare:

Of course my parents would be completely out of debt and be living very comfortably. I have always wanted to travel the world. And as I mentioned before there would definately be some plastic surgery taking place. I would also have a personal stylist and make up artist that traveled everywhere with me. All this would happen right after I made sure that Jonah, Manny, and Gracie had a college fund and I had a Caddilac Escalade.

5 Bad Habits:

1.) I bite my nails. I will stop for a while and then something happens and I start again.
2.) I am chronically late for almost everything.
3.) I sometimes give my opinion when it has not been asked for but I figure people are just afraid to ask. So for those people you're welcome.
4.) I am a Cosmetlogy student yet I very rarely do my own hair and makeup for school.
5.) I am pretty sure that I have a spastic colon and we all know what that means. But in my defense I always roll the window down. And for that yet again you're welcome.

5 Places I have lived:

1.) I started in Athens, GA.
2.) Of course then came Brunswick, GA
3.) Utah 3 times (They say 3rd times a charm but I sure hate the snow!)
4.) My mission: Darby, Shelby, Lewistown, Billings, Miles City Montana
5.) More mission: Cody, WY

5 Jobs:

1.) Macks BBQ, Subway, Chik-fil-a, Ruby Tuesday, Honey Baked Ham
2.) Amanda do you recall our career in picketing
3.) 3 daycares and I was a nanny
4.) American Redcross
5.) Voice Teacher

You're Welcome!

I'll do what I want!

I do not know who these voices are that Aramie is speaking to but I can to give myself an award if I want to. Considering I go to school 40 hours a week, work, and hold a calling I feel that I am doing pretty well with the blogging. So once again I am FUNNY! And each of you is welcome. Goodbye!

MY OWN AWARD!

So I see that my friends are freely giving out blog awards. Well to that I say WHATEVER! Can't a sister get an honorable mention or something. I personally feel that each of my blogs are full of thought and humor and to that I say you are welcome. So for that reason I have seen it fit to give myself The "Leah's Funniest Blog Award". That's right they have named an award after me and by them I mean me but still. I will be handing this award out periodically to those who I feel deserve this great honor. And as for you who forgot me when you (Amanda and Elizabeth) were handing out awards I am going to have to think long and hard whether you will be receiving this prestigious award. Stay tuned for more to come.

I wanna come home!

So everyone should know that my father has invited me to not come home until I graduate. I had high hopes that my next visit would take place in June but I think that he is tired of supporting my sorry @$$. I however am in desperate need of a family and southern fix. So if you see what I will refer to as "The Dad" tell him how much you miss me and that you think that it is important that I have the opportunity to come home and see my Jonah, Manny and the rest of my loves. You need to impress upon him how much he misses me and that he can not wait until December to see me. I understand that I come from a poor family however I desperately need a fix so get to work people.
